Security expert Byron Adera says corruption and complicity among officials manning Kenya’s porous borders are partly to blame for the illegal entry of foreigners into the country. He says while some may enter Kenya seeking safety, proper documentation is key to protecting national security, warning that criminals entering illegally could pose a threat to Kenyans. Adera has also urged citizens to remain vigilant despite Kenya’s culture of hospitality.
