Political analyst Javas Bigambo says Kenya needs creative and progressive policies to address persistent unemployment, especially among the youth. He says zero unemployment is unrealistic due to the growing youth population, but innovative policies can help reduce the numbers. Bigambo adds that persistent unemployment has also provided the opposition with an opportunity to criticize the government.
