President William Ruto is received by State Department for Devolution Principal Secretary (PS) Michael Lenasalon for his thanksgiving ceremony in South Horr, Samburu County/PCSPresident William Ruto on Sunday graced the thanksgiving ceremony of State Department for Devolution Principal Secretary (PS) Michael Lenasalon, in South Horr, Samburu County.
Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya, Samburu Governor Jonathan Lati Lelel and National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed among other leaders accompanied the President.
Also present were Samburu West MP, Naisula Lesuuda, Laisamis MP Joseph Lekuton, SAmburu East MP Jackson Lekumontare and former Samburu County Woman Representative Maison Leshoomo, Samburu
Lenasalon was appointed to the position by President Ruto in April 2025. His appointment took effect on April 17, 2025, and was approved by the National Assembly in mid-April 2025, and he officially assumed office shortly after.
The thanksgiving comes as the government continues to emphasise development and economic empowerment in northern Kenya.
