Congolese Lingala-rhumba maestro Fally Ipupa thrilled thousands of fans at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi last night with a more than two-hour performance.

The singer and dancer took the audience through a high-energy set, wearing a chocolate-brown, knee-length overcoat over a dark brown top, loose-fitting utility trousers, and chunky white sneakers.

He completed the look with a light grey patterned headwrap, dark-tinted sunglasses, a metallic chain necklace, a watch, a bracelet, and statement rings.

Fans sang and danced along to his music as dancers from Ipupa’s team added to the spectacle of the night.

Among those attending the concert were Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli and former Gatanga MP and presidential hopeful Peter Kenneth.

Atwoli wore a structured white safari-style shirt with chest pockets, matching white trousers, gold rings and a gold wristwatch.

He also carried a traditional curved wooden walking cane.
