In a notice to stakeholders, KRA said the maintenance will run from 6 am to 6 pm, affecting traders, clearing and forwarding agents and other users who rely on the system for customs-related transactions.
“Please be advised that there will be scheduled maintenance of iCMS from Sunday 6th September, 2026, 6:00 AM to Sunday 6th September, 2026, 6:00 PM,” KRA said.

The iCMS is a key platform in Kenya's customs administration, supporting processes including the clearance and management of imported and exported goods.
KRA did not provide details of the specific technical upgrades or maintenance activities to be undertaken, but said the exercise was necessary to maintain the system.
The authority advised affected stakeholders to plan ahead and, where possible, complete time-sensitive customs transactions before the maintenance begins to avoid disruptions.
KRA apologised for the inconvenience caused by the temporary shutdown.
“We regret any inconvenience caused,” the authority said.

Normal access to iCMS is expected to resume after the maintenance is completed at 6 pm on Sunday.
