Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru says the Mt Kenya region will not accept being pushed into the opposition after the 2027 elections. Waiguru claims the opposition remains divided and could split before the polls over competing interests and presidential ambitions. She has reiterated her unconditional support for President William Ruto’s re-election, urging the region to back the government and focus on development rather than what she termed political rhetoric.
