The Kenya Medical Association is calling for the immediate operationalisation of Works Councils at national and county levels to prevent recurring health sector strikes. KMA says the councils should bring together employers, unions, professional associations and government agencies for continuous dialogue. The association says the forums can monitor agreements, identify workforce challenges and resolve disputes before they escalate into industrial action.
