The High Court has declined to urgently hear a petition seeking official records showing how MPs voted on the Finance Bill 2026 and other key laws. Justice Patricia Nyaundi instead ordered the case fast-tracked, citing prudent use of judicial time. Petitioner Francis Awino wants Parliament to preserve attendance registers, voting records, Hansard and electronic reports, saying records could be altered or lost. The case will be mentioned on October 15, 2026.
