Siaya County Governor James Orengo says he is among the opposition leaders who will vie for the presidency in the 2027 General Election. Orengo has dismissed claims that his community lacks leaders capable of challenging President William Ruto in the presidential race. Kenyans are, however, waiting to see whether the governor will stand by his remarks, considering that he has been backing Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna’s presidential ambitions under the Linda Mwananchi movement.
