The Migori County Government has officially flagged off the distribution of certified maize seed to vulnerable farmers across the county ahead of the 2026 short rains planting season. The programme targets 5,000 vulnerable farmers across the county, translating to 125 farmers in each of Migori County’s 40 wards. Agriculture CEC Isaac Madafu said the initiative seeks to to cushion them from the effects of climate change and boost food production
