Religious leaders have been urged to unite and condemn the rising use of hired goons by politicians. Ken Baraza, a member of the Panel of Experts on the Compensation of Protest Victims, said religious institutions have a critical voice that should be used to denounce vices driven by politicians seeking cheap political gain. He warned that growing goon attacks could threaten Kenya’s peace and stability, particularly ahead of next year’s elections.
