According to the Meteorological Department's short rains forecast, rains will continue in western regions and spread to other parts by the second and third weeks of October. Near-average to above-average rainfall is expected in Turkana, parts of West Pokot, Samburu, and Marsabit, with the season featuring prolonged wet spells and occasional isolated storms nationwide.
