Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru says the county has invested Sh200 million in water projects as it seeks to expand access to clean and affordable water. Governor Waiguru spoke as a World Bank and Mozambique water sector delegation visited the county to benchmark its eWater model. The delegation toured the Gathigiriri project in Mwea, which combines community participation, affordable tariffs, water conservation and technology. Waiguru says 38 water projects are being implemented this financial year, with over 70 undertaken across the county.
