President William Ruto has launched the construction of the 59km Enengetia-Olposimoru road in Narok County.
The project will upgrade the road to bitumen standard and connect Eneng'etia, Olokurto, Enkuseru, Olposimoru and Kiptenden.
Ruto said the road would improve the movement of agricultural produce to markets and boost trade along the corridor.
The region produces vegetables, maize, wheat and dairy products, among other agricultural goods.
On electricity access, Ruto said the government is investing Sh2.8 billion to connect more residents in Narok to power.
He said construction of the 40km Suswa-Inkorionito-Naiekia-Enkare road in Narok East is ongoing.
Ruto also said Narok Airport will be ready in the next few months.

Construction of the Ololung'a-Ewaso Ng'iro road is also ongoing, while the Ololung'a-Sogoo-Saptet-Mulot road is nearly 60 per cent complete.
The President said the projects were part of efforts to unlock Narok's economic potential.
“We are transforming Narok County through deliberate infrastructure projects to unlock its vast economic potential,” Ruto said.
He added that tarmacking of the Ngoswani-Naikarra-Morijo road was underway, with 30km already completed.
