Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse has welcomed the reduction in fertilizer prices by President William Ruto’s administration, saying it will boost food production and tackle food insecurity. Speaking at Ndoo Secondary School in Mbooni during a women empowerment programme, Mutuse said affordable agricultural inputs are key to food security. He said cheaper fertilizer will enable more farmers to plant, increase production and help curb food shortages.
