Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has assured Kenyans that the government is implementing measures to safeguard food security following below-average rainfall that has affected crop production in key agricultural regions. Speaking during the 30th ordinary IBEC session at his Karen residence, Kindiki said the government was monitoring weather patterns and coordinating interventions to address the current dry spell and prepare for anticipated El Niño rains later this year.
