The headline act, Fally Ipupa, was born Faustin Ipupa Nsimba on 14 December 1977 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. He has built a career that has taken Congolese rhumba from Kinshasa to some of the world’s biggest stages.
In 1999, he joined Koffi Olomide’s Quartier Latin International. He spent several years developing his skills as a singer, songwriter, dancer, and band leader. He eventually became the group’s musical director, gaining valuable experience before embarking on his solo career in 2006.
His debut solo album, Droit Chemin, was a massive commercial success. He followed it with celebrated albums such as Arsenal de Belles Mélodies, Power "Kosa Leka", Tokooos, Control, Tokooos II, and Formule 7. This established him as one of Africa’s leading music stars.
