The State Department for Correctional Services is set to begin implementing the first phase of a secure offender telephone communication system. Correctional Services PS Salome Beacco said the system, to be deployed by Telio Group, will facilitate family connections, support rehabilitation and provide secure, reliable access to legal representatives and services. Beacco said the initiative is part of the Government’s digital transformation and institutional modernisation agenda aimed at advancing reforms in the correctional system.
