Political uncertainty is growing within Senate Speaker Amson Kingi Jefwa’s political camp at the Coastal region, after some of his close allies declined to support President William Ruto’s bid for a second term. Led by former Shimo la Tewa Ward representative Sammy Ndago, the leaders have strongly warned Coast politicians against persuading residents to vote in President Ruto in the 2027 General Election. Ndago says the residents should be given an opportunity to vote for leaders they want.
