Nyeri Woman Representative Rahab Mukami is calling for stronger guidance and counselling services in schools, warning that Kenya risks raising an emotionally unsupported generation. Mukami says learners face growing challenges including drug abuse, indiscipline, school unrest, sexual violence, family instability and economic hardships. She wants the government to establish a standardized national framework for counselling and psychosocial support to strengthen learners’ resilience, improve discipline and enhance academic performance.
