Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi has called for increased training of young Kenyans to tap global opportunities in the shipping and maritime sector. Speaking during the Shipping and Maritime Industry roundtable in Nairobi, Mudavadi said the sector could create thousands of jobs, boost economic activity at the Coast and strengthen Kenya’s economy. He said under the 2023-2027 Fourth Medium Term Plan, the Government targets training and recruiting 3,000 youths as seafarers.
