Nine out of ten mothers now deliver in health facilities, a trend contributing to a decline in maternal mortality across the country. Director-General for Health Patrick Amoth says maternity services are fully covered under SHA. Speaing during the ongoing Kenya health summit, Amoth added that the Ministry of Health is on course in increasing funding through the Primary Healthcare Fund to strengthen the quality of maternal care in health facilities.
