Nyeri Woman Rep Rahab Mukami has raised concern over the growing cases of sexual violence against children, saying schools need stronger counselling and child protection systems. Mukami says many learners suffer trauma from abuse, domestic violence and unstable family environments, affecting their emotional wellbeing and academic performance. She is calling for a standardized national framework to ensure schools have professional, adequately resourced guidance and counselling services.
