President William Ruto on Tuesday led the National Health Summit Presidential Townhall at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, bringing together leaders, health officials, practitioners and other stakeholders to discuss the country’s ongoing health reforms.
The townhall provided a platform for participants to raise questions and share views on the implementation of the Social Health Authority (SHA), primary healthcare, health financing and access to medical services.
Ruto highlighted progress made since the rollout of SHA and outlined measures his administration is pursuing to strengthen healthcare delivery, including the digitisation of health services and support for Community Health Promoters.
The President also spoke on broader government efforts to improve access to healthcare while addressing concerns raised by stakeholders during the session.
