Efforts to make artificial intelligence more accessible to African communities are expanding through projects developing AI tools in local languages. A $5.5 million initiative involving Microsoft and other partners is supporting 26 projects covering more than 50 African languages, dialects and sign languages spoken by over 500 million people across 47 countries.
