Public Service Commission member nominee Flora Mutua has backed the harmonisation of salaries for public servants, arguing that there should be no disparities in pay among workers with similar qualifications. Appearing before the Labour Committee during her vetting, Mutua said public servants often undergo similar training and graduate from the same universities with comparable qualifications. She argued that the pay structure should therefore be reviewed to promote fairness and equity in the public service.
