President William Ruto has today presided over the pass-out parade of over 5, 000 KDF recruits at the Recruits Training School (RTS) in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
The recruits are graduating after a nine-month intensive training.
Ruto was accompanied by the Chief of Defence Forces Charles Kahariri and Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya.

“KDF must not simply defend the country Kenya is today. It must secure the country Kenya intends to become,” Ruto said.
He said the military's role extended beyond defending Kenya's territorial integrity to protecting constitutional order, national unity and the country's future.
