President William Ruto inspected development projects in Eldoret City, Uasin Gishu County, on Thursday, as he highlighted his administration’s ongoing development agenda.

Ruto addressed residents of Maili Nne, Huruma and Eldoret City, updating them on progress in delivering government projects and expanding opportunities.

He also inspected the Champions Retail Market in Eldoret City, one of 14 modern markets being constructed across Uasin Gishu County.

Nationally, the government is constructing 600 modern markets, with Ruto saying the programme is intended to provide traders with decent, safe and dignified spaces to conduct business.

The President also visited an affordable housing project site in Eldoret, where he interacted with workers and residents as he assessed the project’s progress.

Ruto said the government was focused on accelerating the country’s transformation and transitioning Kenya towards a first-world economy.
