Kenyan rapper Virusi Mbaya has publicly expressed regret for omitting some artists and producers on his latest album, sparking a wave of reactions from fans who are now calling for the collaborations to take place.
Album Snubs and Public Regrets
In a series of Instagram Stories, Virusi Mbaya acknowledged that several notable names were missing from the project, including Wakuu, Cosign Black, Ebola Mkuu and legendary producer Magix Enga.
The rapper appeared particularly disappointed that Magix Enga did not feature on the album, writing: “Magix Enga nilimnyima kwa part of my album...inauma ka vampire za Ruiru woye.”
In another post, he addressed the absence of other artists, writing: “Wakuu hawakuweko kwa album nimecatch...”
He also expressed disappointment over the absence of Cosign Black and Ebola, saying: “So sad Co - Sign Black and Ebola were not in my album 😢💔.”
Virusi further highlighted the potential of a collaboration between Crazy V and Mad Munga, writing: “Krazy V + Mad Munga one song is worth an album kueni wapole...”
His posts suggested that he had come to appreciate the missed opportunities and collaborations that could have strengthened the project.
Fans React and Demand New Music
The rapper’s apparent change of heart quickly attracted attention after Drill Interlude shared the story on Instagram, describing it as a public apology and saying Virusi had expressed regret for “walking away from Wakuu, Cosign Black, and Ebola Mkuu” while also regretting leaving Magix Enga off the album tracklist.
Fans responded by calling for some of the collaborations to happen. One commenter wrote, “Ya Cosign Black ikuje❤️🙌🔥,” while another said, “Magix nayo angempea hit song....”
Other reactions were more humorous, including, “Wasted and proud 🙌🔥🔥,” “realest 🔥,” and “😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂civil war.”
One follower questioned the situation involving Wakuu, asking, “Wakuu pia wanatoa Doba😂😂?” Another urged Virusi to work with Ebola, writing, “Ata fute Ebola wapige doba @virusimbayaofficial1.”
The rapper also received another enthusiastic call for a collaboration: “@virusimbayaofficial1 tupee kitu na Ebola mkuu,” while another fan simply reacted, “Hapoo kwa cosign manhhh😢😢😢.”
