Nigerian music star 2Baba and his newlywed wife Natasha Osawaru have sparked numerous reactions online after videos allegedly showing the couple in a heated altercation at a nightclub surfaced online.

Reports circulating online claim that 2Baba had ended the relationship over the phone, allegedly telling Natasha that he wanted nothing more to do with her.

Natasha is then said to have appeared uninvited at a club where the singer was performing, reportedly resulting in another confrontation.

During his performance, 2Baba was also heard telling the crowd that he “looks for trouble, and trouble keeps finding him,” a statement that many online users linked to the ongoing drama.

“I Have Decided Not to be Looking for Trouble Again. I Have Gone to Look for Trouble, and I Have Learnt.”

Online Reactions and Social Media Commentary

The developments have particularly drawn reactions from Kenyans, with several users comparing the situation to other high-profile relationship controversies.

One commenter wrote, “No one is above the program,” while another, referring to Anne, said, “Natasha Osawaru on behalf of Anne I say thank you for your service to womanhood. Frustrate him until he comes online and cries bubbles.”

Another user joked that “THE WHOLE OF AFRICA IS HAPPY THIS FIGHT MUST CONTINUE TILL INFINITY,” while another remarked, “How you get them is how you lose them.”

The apparent irony surrounding 2Baba’s reported search for “peace” also caught attention. One user questioned, “But he chose peace, why is he afraid of the ‘peace’ he chose??? Program nayo ni ya Kila mtu.”

The comments continued with humour, with one user saying, “This is peace,” while another wrote, “African warrior got me.”

 Karma, Humor, and Public Criticism

Some users focused on karma, with one declaring, “Karma is what?😂😂 na bado,” while another added, “That’s what karma is. No peace whatsoever.”

Others questioned whether the relationship could be saved. One commenter asked if anyone knew “a good marriage therapist who can save this marriage,” adding humorously that they did not want 2Baba to be “free from his spiritual wife.”

The reactions also included blunt criticism. One user described the singer as “toxic,” while another asked, “Kwani 2baba anafanyiaga nini wasichana?”

Timeline of 2Baba's Marital Transitions

The alleged altercation comes months after the African star ended his long-term relationship with his "African Queen" Annie.

2Baba and his previous wife Annie Idibia’s relationship dates back more than two decades, with the pair first meeting in 1999 before their friendship developed into a romantic relationship.

They eventually married in a star-studded ceremony in Dubai in 2013 and were together for more than a decade, raising two children.

However, in January 2025, 2Baba announced that he and Annie had separated and were in the process of divorcing, bringing an end to their 12-year marriage.

Shortly afterwards, his relationship with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru became public, although 2Baba insisted that Natasha was not responsible for the breakdown of his marriage to Annie.

He proposed to Natasha in February 2025, just weeks after announcing his separation from Annie, and the two later held a private traditional wedding ceremony in July 2025.
