The Judiciary says data is helping shape reforms to address sexual and gender-based violence. The Chief Registrar Winfridah Mokaya says the automated Register of Convicted Sexual Offenders has recorded close to 11,000 convictions, with defilement being the leading offence, followed by rape and attempted defilement. She says the data is informing resource allocation, while the Judiciary is partnering with county governments to establish rescue centres and strengthen support for SGBV survivors.
