The International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) Kenya has raised concern over rising cases of political goonism and hired violence as the 2027 General Election approaches. The body warns that the country risks a repeat of past unrest, including the 2007 post-election crisis. ICJ Kenya chairperson Christine Alai regretted that vulnerable youths are being exploited to fuel politically instigated violence.
