A lady identified as Kabi has accused content creator and social media personality Malu of failing her in her role as the leader of their chama after she allegedly failed to receive her expected payout.

"Malu alijam akaanza kuniambia Kabi unanistress, sijui hata mimi niko na stress home. Guys hii chama nilifaa kulipwa june sahii tuko august. Sahii ndio ananipigia simu na yeye hakua anshika simu zangu time nilikua nareach out."

Kabi claims she faithfully contributed to the group's welfare fund but faced difficulties when it was finally her turn to receive her money. According to her allegations, some members failed to make their contributions, while Malu allegedly stopped answering her calls.

Kabi further claimed that Malu had been quick to follow up with other members when it was their turn to receive payouts, but appeared to handle her situation differently.

Malu Responds and Explains Unpaid Payouts

The allegations prompted Malu to respond, with the social media personality admitting that she should have communicated better with Kabi.

Malu explained that the member who was expected to contribute towards Kabi's payout had allegedly lost their job and was therefore unable to make the payment at the time. She said the situation left her unsure of what to tell Kabi, while acknowledging that she should have reached out and kept her updated.

"Guys mnajua chama walai, sometimes mtu hukosa na mtu hulala njaa, ile siku utalala njaa ndio utaelewa. So maybe Wanji alikosa na me nikashindwa kuambia Kabi. Huyu dem alifutwa kazi na akaniambia Malu walai sina doo."

Malu maintained that the situation was beyond her control, explaining that she had brought Wanji into the chama but the latter later struggled to meet her contributions after losing her job. She added that she had even lent Wanji KSh20,000 to support her during the difficult period. Malu insisted that she had already paid Kabi her KSh7,000 and maintained that she was not the one who had refused or failed to pay her.
