Taita Taveta Senator Johnes Mwaruma has been elected the chairman of the Senate County Public Accounts and Investments Committee. Mwaruma was elected unanimously to replace Vihiga senator Godfrey Osotsi who has chaired the panel since 2022. Nominated Senator Beth Syengo has also been elected the vice chair of the panel, replacing Migori senator Eddy Oketch who was removed from the panel in the changes approved by the House early this week.
