Security officers in Malindi, Kilifi County, have destroyed 16 illegal gambling machines in an intensified crackdown on unlawful gaming. Deputy County Commissioner Harrison Matevwa said the operations have become a security concern, with criminals allegedly using gambling venues as hideouts. He urged residents to report owners of the illegal machines, saying offenders will face legal action while the confiscated equipment will continue to be destroyed by authorities.
