Former DP Rigathi Gachagua has proposed the formation of a coalition bringing together parties from the Mt. Kenya region seeking to challenge President William Ruto in 2027. The DCP leader said individual parties from the region are unlikely to succeed on their own. He tasked former Attorney General Justin Muturi with convening leaders of the parties to explore the creation of a united political coalition ahead of the elections.
