Infotrak Research & Consulting is set to unveil the findings of the 11th edition of its CountyTrak™ Performance Index, which ranks the performance of Kenya's 47 county governments, governors and county assemblies.
The report will be launched on Tuesday during an event marking the 11th anniversary of the CountyTrak Performance Index.
According to Infotrak, the CountyTrak™ Performance Index, developed in 2014, measures county governments' performance in delivering devolved functions and serves as a citizen scorecard.
The 2026 edition of the survey was conducted between January and May and involved 87,286 respondents across all 47 counties, 290 constituencies and 1,450 wards.
The launch is expected to bring together governors, national and county government officials, development partners, members of the diplomatic corps, civil society leaders and representatives from the private sector.
The event will review the progress of devolution and examine how citizen-generated data can help shape public policy, government programmes and service delivery.
Among the highlights of the report will be the ranking of the top-performing county governments, the best-performing governors, the highest-rated county governments by devolved function, the most improved counties and the top-rated county assemblies.
The findings are expected to provide an assessment of county governments' performance based on citizens' experiences and perceptions of service delivery.

Launch of Kisii AJS Centre
Chief Justice Martha Koome will on Tuesday preside over the launch of the Kisii Alternative Justice Systems (AJS) Centre at Kisii Law Courts.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 am and will be held at the Kisii Law Courts.
The launch forms part of the Judiciary's efforts to strengthen Alternative Justice Systems, which promote the resolution of disputes through community-based and non-court mechanisms.
Linda Mwananchi
Leaders of the Linda Mwananchi movement are expected to appear before the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties on Tuesday morning as they begin the process of registering the outfit as a political party.
The delegation is scheduled to arrive at the Registrar's offices at 9 am to present the necessary documents required for registration.
The move marks the latest step in the group's efforts to transition from a political movement into a fully registered political party.
Once registered, Linda Mwananchi will be eligible to participate in Kenya's political processes in accordance with the law governing political parties.
Dr Victoria Mutiso murder
Court is expected to rule on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations' (DCI) application seeking to detain two suspects for 21 days over the alleged theft of a motor vehicle linked to the case involving Dr Victoria Mutiso.
Dr Mutiso, the former Director of the African Institute of Mental and Brain Health, was shot dead on July 29, 2026, while travelling in an Uber vehicle along Ralph Road in Nairobi’s Upper Hill area after being trailed by assailants riding on a motorcycle.
Investigators told the court that officers who responded to the scene recovered two spent cartridges and a bullet head, which have been submitted to the National Forensic Laboratory for ballistic examination.
Two more suspects were arrested over the weekend in an ongoing probe into the murder of psychologist Dr Victoria Mutiso.
The two, a man and a woman, were arrested in Karen as police raided the private home of a daughter of the prime suspect in the murder of the clinical psychologist and researcher Dr Mutiso while searching for a car that was used in her attack.
The team of detectives went to the Karen home in Nairobi where they seized a Range Rover car that was earlier stolen from Dr Mutiso’s Mlolongo home in a confrontation.
The car belonged to her husband Prof David Ndetei.
Police said the car’s tracking system was found hidden behind the Karen compound.
It is among other cars that vanished from Dr Mutiso’s home in the attack in February this year, police said.
