Three state agencies have announced recruitment drives for senior management and technical positions, with all applications set to close on August 24, 2026.
The National Lottery Board (NLB) has re-advertised the position of Chief Executive Officer/Fund Administrator (Grade NLB 1).
Established under the National Lottery Act, 2023, the board oversees, regulates and safeguards the integrity, transparency and accountability of Kenya's National Lottery.
Through the National Lottery Fund, it mobilises and allocates proceeds to support charitable initiatives, economic empowerment, sports, arts and culture, national heritage, emergency response and transformative national projects.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to the board's senior management and staff to deliver its mandate. The appointment will be on a three-year contract, renewable once.

The board said applicants who had applied previously must reapply.
The Coast Water Works Development Agency (CWWDA) has announced 19 vacancies across its operations in Lamu, Tana River, Kilifi, Mombasa, Kwale and Taita Taveta counties.
The vacancies include director corporate services (one), senior engineer mechanical (one) principal ICT Officer (one) engineer I (Civil) (three), corporate communication officer I (one), engineer I (Electrical) (two), engineer I (Mechanical) (two), inspector I (Electrical), inspector I (Mechanical), laboratory Technologist I each one position and artisan III (Pump Operator) (three).
Others are Senior Driver and Office Administrator I, one position each.
The agency said detailed job descriptions, qualifications and application procedures are available on its website.
All applications and supporting documents must be submitted in PDF format by 5 pm on August 24, 2026.
The National Crime Research Centre (NCRC) has also advertised the position of Director/Chief Executive Officer (NCRC Grade 1) under reference NCRC/1/08/2026.
The centre, established under the National Crime Research Act, is mandated to conduct research on crime, its causes and prevention, and to share its findings with government agencies involved in the administration of criminal justice and other stakeholders.
Interested applicants are required to submit their applications through the NCRC online recruitment portal by 5pm on Monday, August 24, 2026.
The centre said hard-copy applications will not be accepted.
The three state agencies described themselves as equal opportunity employers. The National Lottery Board encouraged female candidates and persons living with disabilities to apply, while the National Crime Research Centre urged women, persons living with disabilities, marginalised groups and minorities to submit applications.
All three agencies warned that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification, and the National Lottery Board added that successful applicants must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
