Utumishi Girls High School today held a school-wide thanksgiving prayer service, its first since reopening after the May 28, 2026 dormitory fire that claimed 16 students. The ceremony brought together students, teachers, parents and guests to pray for healing, recovery and the success of 2026 Form Four candidates. Principal Rufina Nkonge said the school has made progress since reopening on July 2, with learners receiving psychosocial support to cope with trauma.
