Police in Nairobi have disrupted criminal gangs linked to a surge in violent robberies targeting residents, businesses and motorists. In coordinated operations, officers recovered four firearms and numerous stolen items, including mobile phones and laptops, and arrested eight suspects, while one was shot dead. Nairobi Regional Police Commander Issa Mohamud said the crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle organised criminal networks operating across the city.
