Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has appointed five new non-executive directors to its board, effective July 28, 2026, in a move aimed at strengthening the company's governance and strategic oversight.
In a public announcement issued on Wednesday, KPC said the appointments take effect immediately and include senior public sector officials and professionals with experience in economics, energy, engineering, finance and public administration.
The new directors are Ramathan Ggoobi, Irene Pauline Bateebe, Meshack Otieno Kidenda, Samson Kipkemboi Burgei and CPA Ronald Kenyanya Nyamosi.
According to KPC, Ggoobi serves as Uganda's Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury in the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.
The company said he is an economist and public policy expert with experience in macroeconomic policy, development economics and public financial management.
KPC said Bateebe is Uganda's Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development and has more than two decades of experience in the energy, petroleum and mining sectors, including infrastructure financing, renewable energy and institutional reforms.
The company described Kidenda as a veteran engineer with more than 40 years of experience in infrastructure development and public administration.
It said he previously served as the first Director General of the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) and held several leadership positions in government before retiring from public service in 2016.
According to KPC, Burgei has been appointed as the alternate director to the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning. The company said he serves as Technical Advisor for Treasury Cash Management at the National Treasury and previously held senior positions at the Central Bank of Kenya.
KPC also said CPA Nyamosi has been appointed as the alternate director to the Managing Trustee and Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
The company said he serves as General Manager for Finance and Investments at the fund and has more than 20 years of experience in finance, investments, insurance, pensions and risk management.
KPC said the new directors bring diverse expertise that will strengthen the board's oversight role and support the company's long-term strategic objectives.
"The Board warmly welcomes the new Directors and looks forward to working with them as they assume their governance responsibilities," the company said.
The company added that the appointments are expected to support its strategic objectives, long-term sustainability and commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance.
