Ol Kalou MP-elect Sammy Waweru is set to be sworn in today following his landslide victory in the recent by-election. In a symbolic show of humility, the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP)-allied legislator traveled to Parliament aboard a matatu ahead of the swearing-in ceremony. Waweru secured the seat with more than 35,400 votes, trouncing UDA candidate Samuel Muchina Nyagah, who garnered about 5,450 votes.
