Nairobi is set to come alive this August as ChezaCheza Dance Foundation presents Eye of the Storm: A Michael Jackson Tribute, an immersive dance theatre production that celebrates the life, music and humanitarian legacy of the King of Pop while creating opportunities for Kenya's next generation of performers.
Taking place on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Jain Bhavan Auditorium in Loresho, the production promises more than a nostalgic journey through Michael Jackson's greatest hits. It is a celebration of resilience, creativity and the transformative power of the arts.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, Eye of the Storm blends world-class choreography, theatrical storytelling and the timeless music of Michael Jackson to create an unforgettable stage experience.
The show will feature talented young dancers whose personal journeys reflect the Foundation's mission of using dance to build confidence, leadership and life-changing opportunities.

For ChezaCheza Dance Foundation, the production is about much more than entertainment.
Every rehearsal, every performance and every ticket sold contributes to programmes that empower children and young people through creative arts education, helping them develop essential life skills in safe and supportive environments.
"Eye of the Storm is more than a performance; it's a movement that celebrates the enduring legacy of Michael Jackson while giving young people a platform to discover their potential through dance," said Natasha Rehema Sifa, Partnerships, Marketing, PR & Communications at ChezaCheza Dance Foundation.
"Every rehearsal, every performance and every ticket purchased helps us create opportunities for children and youth to grow in confidence, leadership and creativity. We invite families, dance lovers and the wider community to join us in celebrating talent while supporting a cause that transforms lives."
The production also shines a spotlight on the role of the arts in inspiring hope, unity and positive social change.
By weaving together powerful storytelling with iconic music, the performance pays tribute not only to Michael Jackson's artistic brilliance but also to his humanitarian spirit.
ChezaCheza Dance Foundation believes that dance has the power to transform lives, and Eye of the Storm reflects that vision.
Through its programmes, the Kenyan non-profit nurtures talent, develops leadership skills and creates pathways for young people to realize their full potential.
"This production is a celebration of resilience, creativity and the extraordinary impact of the arts on young people's lives," said a representative of ChezaCheza Dance Foundation.
"Michael Jackson inspired generations through his artistry and humanitarian spirit, and through Eye of the Storm, we hope to inspire a new generation of dancers, dreamers and leaders while demonstrating that the creative arts can be a powerful force for social change."
Whether you're a lifelong Michael Jackson fan, a dance enthusiast or simply looking for an inspiring evening of theatre, Eye of the Storm promises an experience that entertains while making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
