United Green Movement party leader David Maraga has declared his readiness to work with opposition leaders who share his commitment to constitutionalism, the rule of law, and good governance. Speaking at a press briefing, the former Chief Justice said restoring the rule of law is the foundation for solving the country's challenges, arguing that once constitutional order is upheld, development and other national priorities will naturally follow. He blamed Kenya's current problems on the failure by leaders and institutions to faithfully adhere to the Constitution and the law.
