Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has warned development agencies against cutting down trees to pave the way for projects without prior notification and approval from the relevant authorities. Sakaja said felling trees without permission is against the law, stressing that the government has a responsibility to protect the environment and ensure development projects comply with environmental regulations.
