Content creator and influencer Pritty Vishy has shared an emotional account of what happened during her first-ever DJ performance, revealing that she broke down in tears after the show when technical difficulties and nerves disrupted what she had hoped would be a memorable debut.

In a series of posts shared on her Instagram Stories, Pritty explained that she had spent time preparing for the performance and believed she was ready. However, a problem with the venue's DJ equipment left her struggling throughout the set.

"After the show, when I went to my house, I really cried because I trained for it. I believed in myself. I knew I was supposed to give my very best, but I felt like I failed as a beginner," Pritty wrote.

She was quick to clarify that the incident was not due to a lack of preparation on her part.

'The equipment failed me'

According to Pritty, her team checked the DJ equipment before the performance and initially discovered that one side of the deck was not functioning properly.

"When I got to the venue, I asked my team to check whether all the equipment was working properly. A few minutes later, they came back and told me that one side of the deck was fine, but the other side wasn't."

She explained that she had no choice but to continue with the performance using only one side of the controller.

"At that point, I had no choice but to perform using only one side. As a beginner, that completely threw me off. I got tense, started panicking, and honestly, my mind was all over the place."

Pritty added that although the resident DJ tried to explain how she could work around the technical issue, she struggled to process the instructions because of the pressure.
Eventually, members of her team stepped in to help by shifting songs manually each time she needed to load a new track.

"Every time I loaded a song, someone would help me shift it to the side that was working. It's a bit technical—only DJs will really understand what I mean."

Responds to criticism

The influencer also addressed criticism that followed clips from the performance circulating online.
She admitted that reading some of the comments had been painful, particularly remarks from people she said were fellow DJs.

"Seeing the comments that most male DJs are making is hurting me. That's why I didn't want to talk about my experience."

She insisted that explaining the equipment failure should not be interpreted as avoiding responsibility.

"When I say the equipment failed me, it's not that I'm running from accountability."

Lesson from a difficult debut

Despite the disappointing experience, Pritty said the setback had become an important learning moment early in her DJ journey.
She acknowledged that it was her first professional performance and thanked her team for reminding her that technical problems can affect even experienced performers.
