Content creator and influencer Pritty Vishy has shared an emotional account of what happened during her first-ever DJ performance, revealing that she broke down in tears after the show when technical difficulties and nerves disrupted what she had hoped would be a memorable debut.
"After the show, when I went to my house, I really cried because I trained for it. I believed in myself. I knew I was supposed to give my very best, but I felt like I failed as a beginner," Pritty wrote.
'The equipment failed me'
"When I got to the venue, I asked my team to check whether all the equipment was working properly. A few minutes later, they came back and told me that one side of the deck was fine, but the other side wasn't."

She explained that she had no choice but to continue with the performance using only one side of the controller.
"At that point, I had no choice but to perform using only one side. As a beginner, that completely threw me off. I got tense, started panicking, and honestly, my mind was all over the place."
"Every time I loaded a song, someone would help me shift it to the side that was working. It's a bit technical—only DJs will really understand what I mean."
Responds to criticism
"Seeing the comments that most male DJs are making is hurting me. That's why I didn't want to talk about my experience."

She insisted that explaining the equipment failure should not be interpreted as avoiding responsibility.
"When I say the equipment failed me, it's not that I'm running from accountability."
