Kenya has reaffirmed its commitment to championing African-led peace initiatives in the Horn of Africa, with Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi emphasizing that regional security is vital for economic growth, trade, and investment. The pledge followed talks with IGAD Executive Secretary Workneh Gebeyehu on worsening insecurity in Sudan and South Sudan. Mudavadi stressed that Kenya’s prosperity is closely tied to regional stability, warning that ongoing conflicts continue to disrupt trade, investment, and cross-border livelihoods.
