The long-awaited Agave Affair is finally happening in Nairobi on 25 July 2026. With only 72 hours remaining, the city is buzzing about the Tequila festival.
This gathering at the KICC Event Grounds is a partnership between Radio Africa Events and the KICC. It is described as "Nairobi's first true homage to tequila."
A National Cultural Shift
The event stands out because it aims to solve a specific market problem. Currently, 87% of Kenyan consumers have only ever taken tequila as a shot. The Agave Affair intends to educate guests on the spirit's versatility.
It is repositioning tequila as a premium lifestyle spirit — not just a party shot, but a sipping experience.
The festival will run for 10 hours, from 4 PM to 2 AM. It is designed as a complete lifestyle festival rather than a conventional drinks event. The experience is expected to attract more than 2,000 guests.
The Star-Studded Sonic Journey
The music is a major pillar of the event. The entertainment will follow a curated sonic journey that moves through Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Afro-house. The latest confirmed lineup features the region’s top turntable stars.
Tha Daqchild, known as the "King of Good Times," will bring his high-energy sets to the stage.
The roster also includes DJ Festa, known as "The Big Man," and DJ Chunky Love, who is billed as "The Hype Master." Leading the crowd throughout the night is James Kibunja, better known as MC Kibunjah. He is famously called "The Only MC with an LLB."
