Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has publicly responded to journalist Mohammed “Moha” following claims made during an online discussion about the South C sewage dispute.

In a video shared on his social media platforms, Mosiria dismissed allegations that he dislikes the Somali community. He maintained that he has long-standing friendships within the community and accused the journalist of misrepresenting his position.
The exchange follows comments attributed to Moha, who alleged that Mosiria disliked the Somali community and suggested that Somalis were “the ones running this city” during a discussion on the South C sewage issue.

Responding to the claims, Mosiria urged the journalist to stop linking his name to what he described as false narratives.
“Heshima ni kitu ya maana sana.”
He said he appreciates the Somali community and warned against creating unnecessary divisions.
“Stop dragging my name and creating rivalry between the Somali community and me. They are my longtime friends.”
Mosiria also stressed that his position on the South C dispute has always centred on enforcing the law rather than targeting any particular community.

“The laws of Kenya must be followed.”

In the caption accompanying his video, Mosiria accused his critic of attempting to damage his reputation.
“Some people will celebrate your downfall by spreading propaganda. I want to warn Moha to stop the cheap blackmail and instead focus on professional journalism.”

South C sewage dispute remains at the centre of discussion.

The disagreement stems from ongoing public debate surrounding waste management and sewage concerns in Nairobi’s South C area.
Mosiria has previously maintained that environmental and public health regulations should be enforced consistently, regardless of the individuals or businesses involved.
His latest remarks sought to clarify that his enforcement efforts are not directed at any ethnic or religious group but are based on compliance with Kenyan law.

As of now, there has been no indication that either party has pursued formal legal action over the matter, and the debate continues to play out on social media.
