Pastor Victor Kanyari’s brother, Apostle Jackson Mwangi, has questioned Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, over his continued involvement in the custody dispute surrounding the late gospel singer Betty Bayo’s children.

Jackson weighed in on the ongoing disagreement between Kanyari and Tash, questioning why the latter was allegedly demanding money allegedly spent on raising the two children.

In a video shared online, the preacher challenged Tash to reconsider his position, arguing that demanding reimbursement contradicted his claims of loving the children.

“Sasa kama unapenda hao watoto, unadai aje pesa, one million?” Jackson questioned.

He further urged Tash to allow the children to remain with their biological father rather than prolonging the disagreement.

“Wachilia watoto,” he said.

Kanyari’s brother questions Tash’s intentions.

Jackson also made claims about Tash’s relationship with his biological children, alleging that he had left them in America while fighting to remain involved in Betty Bayo’s children’s lives.

He questioned why Tash was putting so much effort into the custody dispute while, according to his allegations, his own children were elsewhere.

However, Jackson’s statements were allegations made during his public commentary and have not been independently established.

His remarks come amid growing public attention surrounding the children’s living arrangements following Betty Bayo’s death in November 2025.

The disagreement has attracted considerable interest, with both Kanyari and Tash expressing their positions on who should take responsibility for the children.

Court dismisses Tash’s KSh 1 million claim.

The dispute previously played out in court, where Tash reportedly sought KSh 1 million from Kanyari, claiming he had spent the money on Betty Bayo’s children.

However, the court dismissed the reimbursement request after Tash failed to provide receipts or financial records supporting the amount.

The custody disagreement has since continued to attract reactions from family members and members of the public, with Jackson becoming the latest person to publicly question Tash’s position.

As the situation unfolds, attention remains on the children’s welfare and the arrangements that will determine their upbringing.
